I did tell you that Purdey was about to hit the headlines with her love life. The above tabloid, which may be available on some news stands (although on reflection, I trust not) speaks for itself.
With the long midsummer evenings and balmy daytime weather, the scene is set for romance… and Purdey has found love.
Who is the lucky guy? We don’t know his real name, but he is a beautifully-marked ginger tom. Since his expression is one of perpetual surprise and wonderment, we have nicknamed him Einstein.
If you are Einstein’s parent or guardian, and you are reading this, he is a beautiful cat. He is, in fact, the very first cat that Purdey ever laid eyes on when she was allowed outdoors (our paparazzi roving researcher was there to capture the moment).
So what’s the latest in this heart-warming tale of two kitties?
They are definitely in love. Purdey sits in the shade of the rhododendrons with him during the heat of the day, and at night… well, I’m not sure what they get up to. Best not to ask. At least there is no chance of a litter of little Purdey-lets happening (although they would be very cute!) Perhaps they just light some candles, fire up the barbecue and enjoy some spicy vole vindaloo under a starlit sky.
OK! CATS is a highly respected newspaper whose information is gained by legitimate means and a handful of duck-flavoured munchies. There is no truth in the rumour that its editor has been summoned to give evidence to the Leveson inquiry.
